Cleveland - Akron - Canton, OH
Chain link fences are known for their strength and durability, making them an ideal choice for securing property boundaries. They provide effective security without compromising visibility.
Benefits of using Chain Link Fences
-
Cost Effective
-
Chain link fences are among the most economical fencing options available. They provide an effective barrier for your property without the material and installation costs associated with other fencing types. This makes them an ideal choice for both residential and commercial properties that require large enclosures.
-
Durabilty
-
Constructed from galvanized or coated steel wire, chain link fences are built to last. They resist environmental stresses such as rain, wind and snow, which is essential in Northeast Ohio’s variable climate. The galvanization process involves coating the steel with zinc to prevent rust, thereby extending the life of the fence significantly.
-
No Maintenance
-
No Maintenance Required! Chain link fences require no maintenance. They do not need to be painted or stained and are resistant to pests and decay. If you like things spic and span, an occasional cleaning with soap and water and checking for areas of potential rust are typically all that’s needed to maintain a chain link fence.

Chain Link Fence Q & A
A chain link fence is the best value you could get for your money if you are looking to keep people, pets or other things in or out of your property. A chain link fence could come in a third less in cost than a wooden fence. Aesthetically, some people like the look of wood better but a black chain link fence does have aesthetic appeal.
Chain link fences do not provide privacy. A vinyl coated chain link fence only comes with a 15-year limited warranty but lasts much longer than that. A galvanized chain link fence, without a vinyl coating, will rust over time. Some people prefer the look of other types of fences although black chain link does have a certain charm all its own.
In most situations, a chain link fence would increase the value of a property by providing safety and confinement to the yard.
No, a chain link fence is timeless. They are still the most cost-effective way to keep your pets and kids in your yard and keep unwanted visitors out.
While chain link fence is the most cost effective, it does still come with a high-ticket price. The cost of material is significant and the labor to professionally install it is slightly more than any other type of fence as there are a lot more parts and pieces. If you are handy, you could save on the labor and we would be happy to design, pack and deliver you all the parts and pieces you would need to install the fence yourself.
PVC is an acronym commonly used for polyvinyl chloride. Polyvinyl chloride is the resin used to make vinyl fences. See the question “Is a chain link fence cheaper than vinyl?” for more information in the comparison between chain link and vinyl fences.
A vinyl coated chain link fence would last the longest. Vinyl coated chain link fences come with a 15-year warranty and galvanized chain link fences come with a 12-year warranty, while our cedar wood fences only have a 10-year warranty. Vinyl coated chain link fences maintain their look well over 30 years, galvanized chain link will rust over time. Cedar wood bears a weathered look over time which some people find appealing. Treated pinewood fences will crack, twist, warp, and shrink in the near term and are not recommended.
